Easy Air Fryer Egg Bites with Ham and Cheese are quick to make with just 5 ingredients and 10 minutes of cook time. Full of flavor, these protein-packed breakfast bites are a great way to start the day (or have as a tasty snack anytime)!

air fryer egg bites in silicone molds

Similar to what you find with Starbucks sous vide egg bites (although that is a whole different method of cooking). This easy air fryer egg bite recipe with ham and cheese is a simple low carb breakfast that is totally customizable to fit your taste preferences.

Aside from a classic sunny side up egg, I love making tasty flavored egg recipes in bulk to enjoy throughout the week. It ensures I have a high protein breakfast waiting for me every morning, without having to even think about it! Some of my other favorite high volume egg recipes are Broccoli Cheddar Egg Bake and Mushroom and Goat Cheese Frittata.

Best egg bite molds

There are a couple different ways you can go here. You can get molds specifically make for egg bites or you can get cupcake liners that double as egg mold cups. Both work great. Egg molds are very cute and give you a more round shape. Cupcake molds are versatile and can be used in your kitchen more often than just for egg bites.

For egg molds I suggest these Multipurpose Molds . For silicone liners, I suggest these Silicone Cupcake Liners. They are beautiful colors and completely non stick. I love them!

Ingredients

  • eggs
  • heavy cream (or whole milk)
  • green onions
  • ham
  • cheese
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Step by Step Instructions for air fryer egg bites

In a medium-sized bowl, crack all eggs. Add milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk vigorously until well combined.

In silicone cupcake liners or a silicone egg bite mold, place cheese, ham, and green onions. This recipe makes approximately 8 egg bites, so split the ingredients in eighths between the cups.

With a small ladle (a pyrex measuring cup works well too) pour egg mixture into each cup. Fill each cup about ⅔ of the way full, leaving room for the egg bites to expand as they cook.

Carefully place into the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 360 degrees and a cook time of 10 minutes or until the eggs are set. To ensure that the topping ingredients are evenly dispersed throughout, open the air fryer and gently stir each egg bite with a spoon at the 5 minute mark.

How to reheat egg bites

Part of the beauty of egg bites is that they make wonderful low carb breakfasts to enjoy throughout the week.

To reheat egg bites from the fridge, microwave for 25-30 seconds OR reheat egg bites in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes at 360 degrees.

Excellent! Very simple and tasty! I used bacon and cheddar and added a dash of garlic powder, came out perfect! I have a pampered chef chopper so I chopped my bacon and that worked perfectly. Bites popped right out of silicone cups with no mess! This is definitely a recipe I will use over and over and definitely share!
