These quick and easy chicken nugget wraps with homemade twister sauce are the perfect snack or easy lunch on the go that are great for kids and adults alike!
Growing up, before my sister and I could drive, my mom would pick us up from school. Once in a while, she would have a stopped somewhere for a snack along the way and would have something waiting for us in the car. Those were the best days!
One of our favorite snacks were the KFC Chicken Wraps. They featured shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, crispy fried chicken, and twister sauce.
This chicken nugget wrap is a copycat version that you can easily make at home!

How do you make KFC twister sauce?
This one is super simple! All it is, is mayo, black pepper, and lemon juice. I give you exact measurements here, but feel free to make it more peppery or lemony if you prefer.
Ingredients
- Chicken Nuggets: KFC uses chicken strips, but you can use chicken nuggets of any kind.
- Iceberg lettuce: Finely shredded iceberg lettuce gives this wrap a bit of freshness. Romaine lettuce could be used as a substitute.
- Flour Tortillas: Use a large tortilla. Around 8 inches is what I used here.
- Shredded Cheese: Shredded monterey jack or shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roma Tomatoes: Roma Tomatoes are great because they are firmer than some other varieties and they won't make your wrap overly watery.
- Mayonnaise: I use Hellman's brand full fat mayo.
- Freshly Cracked Black Pepper: Use more or less depending on how much peppery bite you want.
- Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed is best, but the lemon juice from a jar works too!
How to Make
Step 1. Combine ingredients for twister sauce and set in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to deepen.
Step 2. Prepare your chicken nuggets according the packaging instructions to reach your desired crispiness level. I like to make my nuggets for wraps in the air fryer. Warm tortilla and top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
Step 3. Top the wrap with cooked nuggets.
Step 4. Add twister sauce. Roll up the wrap and enjoy.
Variations
Make these wraps spicy by using spicy chicken nuggets or adding hot sauce like buffalo sauce or tabasco.
Add extra veggies or toppings such as avocado, pickles, thinly sliced onions, or even bell peppers.
If you want to skip the sauce, use ranch dressing as a substitute. You can use store bought or Homemade Ranch Dressing or even this Copycat Wingstop Ranch Recipe. My Chick Fil A Copycat for Avocado Ranch would be delicious on this chicken nuggets wrap.
Recipe Tips
Make the twister sauce at least 30 minutes ahead of time for best flavor. Allowing everything to sit together elevates the taste.

Yummy. Us big kids are going to love this Too!
My dinner tonight is One Pot Chicken pot pie fettuccine. Have you ever made this?
I make it lactose (lactaid whole milk) and gluten free(barilla gluten free fettuccine)
It comes out just as good as they original recipe. When I'm a little lazy and use
rotisserie chicken. I also add some better than bouillon to boost the flavor.
Yummy!
