Soy garlic chicken wings are sweet and tangy and perfect for dipping in creamy ranch or blue cheese. Enjoy these during the next football game or any night of the week!

We love a good wing in our house. I just shared a recipe for dry rub chicken wings. If you haven’t checked them one out, I suggest you do. They are super easy, crispy, and flavorful with juicy meat on the inside.
Now, if you’re craving a saucy coated wing- this one’s for you. These wings start by being baked in the oven until skin turns crispy, and the meat cooked perfectly. Then they are tossed in a delicious homemade soy sauce garlic sauce.

I kept these mild so that our kids would enjoy them too, but feel free to add hot sauce or even crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce to kick up the heat.
Whip up some Homemade Ranch Dressing or copycat Wingstop Ranch for dipping.
Ingredients

- Chicken wings: We use a mix of flats and drumettes because I prefer flats and my husband prefers the drums. Use whatever you like!
- Baking Powder: This is used to help crisp up the wings when baking in the oven. I prefer to use an aluminium free version.
- Soy sauce: I generally use liquid aminos from Braggs brand because that’s what I keep on hand in our pantry. You can use soy sauce, reduced sodium soy sauce, or coconut aminos for this recipe.
- Garlic: Fresh minced garlic, and lots of it.
- Honey: For a bit of sweetness. You can also use brown sugar if you don’t have honey on hand.
- Butter: Similar to adding butter to Buffalo sauce to make wing sauce, adding butter adds a richness to the sauce, and helps it to coat the wings.
- Seasoning: A mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to help season the wings before baking.

Recipe tips
- If using frozen wings, allow them to thaw first. This will enable you to coat them with the seasoned baking powder mixture. If they are frozen, it will not stick.
- For a little extra crisp, spray the wings with a bit of cooking spray before baking.
- To help prevent sticking, use parchment paper or a silicone mat on your baking sheet.
