- Chopped sweet pickles: I like to use sweet pickles and chop them up, but you can use relish if you’d like.
- Seasonings: The restaurant has a secret spice blend, however I find a mix of onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a bit of ranch seasoning will get you close.
How to make southern chicken salad
Step 1. Begin by bringing a pot of water to a boil. Add chicken tenderloins and cook for 8 minutes or until they’ve reached an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove from water and wait until they are cool enough to handle.
Add chicken tenderloins to a food processor and pulse until finely shredded.
Step 2. To a mixing bowl, add shredded chicken, mayonnaise , diced hard boiled eggs, minced celery, diced sweet pickles, and seasonings.
Step 3. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
Step 4. Refrigerate before serving.
