- 1 lb. Beef tenderloin tips
- 2 tbsp. Flour
- 1 tbsp. Oil
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- 5 Garlic Cloves minced
- ½ cup Beef Stock
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. pepper
- ½ tsp. italian seasoning
Start with room temperature beef tenderloin tips. If you cannot find the tips pre-cut you can buy beef tenderloin or filet mignon and slice it into 1 inch pieces.
Place beef tenderloin tips on a paper towel and pat dry to remove excess moisture.
Sprinkle on flour, salt, pepper, and italian seasoning, and stir to evenly distribute over the meat until it is fully coated.
Heat cast-iron skillet over medium high heat and add oil. Once hot, add beef pieces and sear until evenly browned using tongs to flip the tips as needed to make sure both sides are browned. This should take about 5-7 minutes total.
Once browned set on a plate to the side. To the same skillet, add butter and melt add minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add beef broth and use wooden spoon or spatula to scrape up any bits on the bottom of the pan. Simmer to reduce the sauce by half about 2 to 3 minutes. Add beef tenderloin tips back to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce.
