A classic recipe made easier by cooking it in the pressure cooker, here is Instant Pot Ham and Beans!
PREP TIME: 20 MIN
– 1 meaty ham bone – 1 tbsp. olive oil – 1 medium onion, diced – 1 lb. dry great northern beans – 3 ribs celery, diced – 3 garlic cloves, minced – 1 tsp. salt – 1 bay leaf – water
COOK TIME: 60 min
INGREDIENTS
Add oil to Instant Pot and turn on saute function, add in diced onions, celery, and garlic, and saute for 4-5 minutes. Add bay leaf.
Place in meaty ham bone and dry beans.
Top with water and secure pressure cooker lid in the sealing designation. Cook for 60 minutes at high pressure.
Quick release or allow to natural release. Remove bay leaf. Carefully remove ham bone and pick off meat. Add meat back to the beans and stir.
Enjoy on it's own or with a slice of sour cream cornbread!
