How-to:

Freeze Corn off the Cob

6-8 ears of corn

1 cup water

1-2 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. salt

What You'll Need

Shuck Corn

01.

Begin by shucking corn and removing as much corn silk as possible.

Slice corn kernels off of the cob

02.

Using a sharp knife, slice the raw corn kernels off of the corn cobs and place into a bowl or pot. Be careful and hold the cob firmly in one hand and the knife in the other, cutting lengthwise.

Ready to Cook!

Add water, salt, and sugar.

03.

Add corn kernels to a pot with 1 cup of water, 1 tsp. of salt, and 1-2 tbsp. of  sugar (optional) to a large pot. Bring to a boil and then turn down to a simmer for 6-8 minutes.

Allow to Cool and Freeze

04.

Allow corn to completely cool (taste test if you would like to see if you need more sugar or salt), and then place into airtight containers and freeze. Reheat in a saucepan when ready.
