– 2 cups fresh basil – 1 garlic clove – ½ cup extra virgin olive oil – 1 lemon juice and zest – ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese – ¼ cup pine nuts – ½ tsp. salt – ½ tsp. black pepper
Place pine nuts and peeled garlic into the food processor and pulse on high for 15-20 seconds.
Add basil leaves, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and parmesan.
Pulse for 5-10 seconds and then slowly start drizzling in the olive oil while the machine is running.
